Josué Moreno is an ocean modeller and physical oceanographer with nine years’ experience applying satellite observations and state-of-the-art ocean and climate models to study ocean variability and high-impact environmental issues. Based in Cambridge and currently at the British Antarctic Survey after postdoctoral work at IFREMER, he combines rigorous PhD training from ANU with hands-on modelling to inform climate-relevant decision-making. He is passionate about science communication and data visualization, translating complex Earth science into actionable insights for policymakers and wider audiences. Uniquely, he has engaged with the American Geophysical Union to propose emissions-reduction and meeting-structure reforms, reflecting a practical commitment to reducing the research community’s carbon footprint.
