Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolJoyal Johney is a backend-focused senior software engineer with eight years of experience building production systems for venture-backed startups across fintech, health-tech, e-commerce and neobanking. He has a track record of working closely with founding teams to design and ship back-office platforms, core product features and high-impact automation that supported rapid growth (including a B2B fintech with $8M+ ARR). Comfortable across the stack, Joyal pairs expertise in distributed systems and cloud engineering with hands-on frontend and mobile work, and he’s recently focused on generative AI integrations. He’s led small teams to launch mission-critical products under tight timelines and repeatedly won internal hackathons and innovation awards. Based in India, he blends startup grit with disciplined engineering practices learned at both early-stage companies and large enterprises. Outside the obvious, he’s equally likely to be “vibe coding” deep in system design or iterating on an ML prototype that accelerates product workflows.
