Summary
🤩
Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolJuan Alonso is a versatile software engineer with 11 years of experience building production systems across trust & safety, ML/generative AI, anomaly detection, finance, and online gaming communities. He has led and shipped large-scale monitoring and alerting platforms at Google, built end-to-end trading and journaling products with Golang/Python/TS+React, and founded high-traffic community platforms that combined recommender systems, A/B experimentation and fraud defenses. Comfortable wearing many hats, he blends hands-on engineering with coaching, devops/mlops, product thinking and UX research to reduce technical debt and increase team velocity. He excels at ambiguous, open-ended problems—navigating legacy code, engine changes, and full project lifecycles from prototype to turndown. Based in Spain, he values clear thinking, mastery and speed, and brings an unusual mix of operator-grade reliability work and entrepreneurial product instincts.
