Summary
👤
SeniorJuan Ramallo is a Full Stack Engineer with 11 years building secure, high-performance web platforms across banking, government, healthcare, and high-volume consumer sites. He moves comfortably between enterprise microservices (Spring Boot, Java) and pragmatic PHP/WordPress engineering, and has repeatedly modernized legacy systems—from bank authentication engines to widely used WordPress plugins serving 160+ venues. Known for rapid delivery in high-compliance environments, he has rebuilt core banking workflows, migrated token-based authentication to soft tokens, and cut large-scale site load times from 15s to under 500ms. Equally comfortable working solo or embedded in distributed teams, he combines deep SQL and performance tooling experience (New Relic, SQL Monitor, Redis, OPcache) with accessibility and security hardening. Based in Phoenix, Juan prefers projects where reliability, long-term thinking, and accountability matter, and often surfaces unexpected wins by reducing technical debt while improving measurable business outcomes.
