Top SchoolJuan Ugarte is an Integrations Engineer with 20 years of experience designing and implementing GUI cores for desktop and embedded applications, currently building integrations at Sorcero from Lexington, MA. He has deep GTK and WebKitGTK expertise, having driven Glade as a maintainer and authored major UI components and widgets for multimedia and embedded projects. His background spans embedded Linux, DBus-based tooling, GStreamer media work, and cross-platform C implementations, reflecting a low-level systems mindset as well as user-facing design. Juan has repeatedly delivered fast prototypes to production—most notably shipping SyncTV and handheld browser UI work under tight deadlines—while also creating developer-facing libraries to expose application internals. He blends open-source stewardship with commercial engineering, reviewing and integrating third-party contributions to sustain long-lived projects. Colleagues describe him as a pragmatic implementer who pairs deep protocol and toolkit knowledge with a knack for embedding interactive tutorials and tooling into products.
