Top SchoolJuan Vela is a Senior Platform Engineer with a decade of hands-on experience designing and automating resilient cloud infrastructures across startups and scale-ups. Based in Málaga, he specializes in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD, consistently turning complex systems-design and security challenges into reliable, automated platforms. His career progression from SysAdmin to SRE lead and Cloud Platform Architect demonstrates deep operational expertise and a knack for empowering teams to ship faster with less friction. Known for seeing both the big picture and the implementation details, he focuses on creating observability-driven, secure environments that “thrive” rather than merely function. Outside work he hones communication and creativity through drumming and sleight-of-hand card tricks—skills that subtly inform his collaborative leadership and attention to craft.
