Top SchoolJulia Himmel is a News Graphics Developer and product designer with 12 years of experience crafting digital products, brand systems, and data-driven visual storytelling from New York. She combines strong typographic and visual sensibility with user-centered research to translate complex information into clear, engaging graphics and interfaces. At Industry Dive she moved from Senior Product Designer into news graphics, applying product design rigor to journalistic visuals and interactive storytelling. Her background as a creative director and hands-on developer (including front-end work, Ruby on Rails contributions, and onboarding UX) lets her bridge design, copy, and engineering effectively. Notable past work includes designing a news literacy tool adopted by multiple newsrooms and guiding a token sale that helped over a thousand newcomers purchase blockchain tokens. She’s equally comfortable iterating on prototypes and shipping production-ready front ends, with a knack for turning thorny research insights into simple, shareable experiences.
