Julián Londoño is a Full Professor and senior researcher with a dual PhD in Computer Science and Automatics, combining over a decade of academic leadership with hands-on development of machine learning and signal-processing solutions. Based at Universidad de Antioquia and recently a Maria Zambrano-funded researcher at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, he designs computer-aided diagnostic systems and ML-based products that have been transferred to industry, including platforms for pharmaceutical dissolution prediction and real-time fraud monitoring. He teaches both introductory and advanced probabilistic machine learning courses, mentoring students across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. A Senior Member of IEEE, his work bridges embedded hardware prototypes, big-data architectures, and computational intelligence—reflecting a practical focus on moving research into deployable tools.
