Julien Chardon is an energy entrepreneur and board member with a decade of experience building one of France’s leading renewable energy suppliers, ilék, which he co-founded and grew to a B Corp-certified company of 200+ employees before its 2026 acquisition by GazelEnergie. Trained at École Polytechnique, ENSTA and IFP School in 21st-century energies and energy economics, he blends technical rigor with hands-on project experience in utility-scale photovoltaics. He has steered fundraising, strategy and team-building through a fast-evolving market while keeping impact and local green production central to the business model. Now on the boards of Solvéo Energies and other regional tech bodies, he combines operational know-how with governance perspective to scale clean-energy projects. A Toulouse-based leader, he’s equally comfortable in the field developing solar parks and in the boardroom negotiating exits and partnerships.
