Senior🎓
Top SchoolJulio Tarín is an experienced engineering manager and former Principal/Staff engineer with a long career transforming web and front-end platforms across startups and scale-ups in the UK and Spain. He combines deep hands-on technical roots (PHP, Ruby, front-end and apps) from two decades of development with recent leadership roles driving delivery, architecture and team growth at giffgaff, Fixter and now Glowing Blue AG. Known for moving from senior individual contributor to people manager, he mentors engineers while keeping a pragmatic focus on shipping production-ready systems. His background as a CTO and consultant gives him a strong product-oriented perspective on trade-offs between speed, quality and maintainability. Based in Stony Stratford, he brings cross-cultural experience and fluency working in both Spanish and English engineering environments. Outside the org chart, he’s maintained a steady engineering practice since the 1990s, which informs a pragmatic, hands-on management style.
