Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolJustin Phu is a Computational Mathematics undergraduate at UCLA with eight years of practical experience applying data science and AI to real-world problems. He has honed strong Python, R, and SQL skills and builds compelling visual analytics using Power BI, Tableau, D3.js, and Tableau for sports and business contexts. Past roles include data analysis for Bruin Sports Analytics—where he cleaned and tagged tennis match data to inform player strategy—and research work evaluating Web3 projects for Veris Ventures, giving him cross-domain exposure from sports analytics to blockchain assessment. Justin combines quantitative rigor with collaborative, product-minded communication, regularly translating model outputs into actionable recommendations for stakeholders. Outside work he balances analytical curiosity with athletics and investing, and his GitHub ethos—"I write code and most of the time it doesn't work"—reflects a candid, iterative approach to learning through experimentation.
