Justine Ventura
Software Engineer
Summary
👤
SeniorJustine Ventura is a software engineer with eight years of hands-on experience building high-throughput, user-facing features at scale across Microsoft, Google, and Block. She has shipped backend and full-stack solutions—delta query APIs, Excel export tooling, and mobile/desktop submission flows—supporting tens of millions of users and dramatically reducing payloads and latency. Her internships demonstrate a knack for performance and automation: bulk-creating 10K accounts in 70 seconds and cutting payloads by 99% via delta endpoints. Comfortable across C#, Java, TypeScript, React/Ember, and cloud tooling, she pairs systems thinking with pragmatic engineering to deliver measurable impact. A former research intern in explainable reinforcement learning, she also brings research-grade curiosity and open-source tooling experience to product work. Based in Seattle and affiliated with the University of Alberta, she blends industry-scale production experience with academic rigor.
