Senior🎓
Top SchoolJyri-matti Lähteenmäki is a Senior Software Designer with 13+ years at Solita, combining hands-on development and pragmatic architecture, primarily in railway traffic systems. He advocates for type-safe, modular designs that make illegal states unrepresentable, favoring functional approaches (Haskell-minded) and tools like Nix, trunk-based CI and Htmx for pragmatic web UI. Jyri-matti resists heavy DI/Spring, vendor lock-in and unnecessary dynamic typing, preferring clear structure and ownership of projects. Based in Keskusta, Finland, he brings a rare blend of conservative language taste and practical compromise—able to work with Java/Scala or containers when used responsibly—rooted in an MSc in Computer Science and long experience shaping robust, maintainable systems.
