Senior🎓
Top SchoolKaran Gupta is a Senior Software Engineer and Associate Director based in Mumbai with a decade of experience building production-grade systems across data platforms, cloud migrations, and workflow applications. At UBS he pairs Databricks and Spring Boot with GitLab CI to empower data scientists and analysts in supply chain, real estate, and employee experience domains, emphasizing developer experience and pragmatic, low-level abstractions. He has moved teams from pandas/Postgres to PySpark/Databricks, authored integration libraries for report delivery, and redesigned functionality for event-driven architectures during on-premises-to-cloud transitions. A hands-on engineer who also served briefly as a Scrum Master, Karan balances delivery velocity with reliability—"slow is smooth; smooth is fast"—and prioritizes not breaking user space. Trained in Mathematics and Computing (DCE), he brings a thoughtful mix of engineering craft and operational discipline often seen in platform-focused practitioners.
