Summary
👤
SeniorKareem Ebrahim is a backend software engineer with eight years of experience building performant, reliable microservices and API-driven systems. He has a proven track record at startups—most recently at Thyab—where he cut infrastructure costs by 60%, migrated and monetized messaging services, and shipped accounting and subscription billing systems that scaled to thousands of users. Comfortable working directly with customers and domain experts, he turns real-world requirements into well-documented, production-ready services and mentors junior engineers. He prioritizes performance and user experience, routinely diagnosing bottlenecks and triaging outages under pressure. An active open-source maintainer and contributor, Kareem brings pragmatic engineering paired with a bias for measurable impact.
