Top SchoolKaren Baney is a seasoned software development manager with 10+ years of experience building and stabilizing high-performing engineering teams and mission-critical applications across enterprise and mid-market organizations. Currently leading development at Lifeway Christian Resources, she has a proven track record of modernizing legacy systems, establishing CI/CD and coding standards, and migrating repositories and processes to Git-based workflows. Hands-on in front-end frameworks (notably Vue.js) and .NET backends, Karen has driven measurable impact—reducing costs by bringing work in-house, improving performance by up to 97%, and saving recurring expenses with custom replacements for third-party systems. She’s a pragmatic mentor and recruiter who fosters collaborative cultures, balances scope control with rapid improvement, and has presented on Vue topics at industry conferences. Her background in both technical leadership and business (MBA and entrepreneurship certificate) gives her a strong blend of delivery, people management, and product-minded decision making.
