Top SchoolKarol Horosin is a Staff Software Engineer based in Krakow with nine years of experience building high-throughput, data‑heavy systems and leading engineering teams from startup to scale. He combines hands‑on expertise in Python, Django, Kubernetes and AWS with product-facing work in Vue/TypeScript, having shipped financial and cybersecurity platforms that process billions of events and complex pricing/risk pipelines. As a former Head of Engineering and co-founder of AI-driven startups, he bridges research, ML model development (audio and text) and production engineering—designing end‑to‑end ML systems, bespoke data pipelines and GPU-enabled workflows. Known internally as the “code review king,” he mentors teams, formalizes management frameworks, and translates ambiguous product needs into reliable technical solutions. Notably, he has taken prototypes from lab‑grade research (neuroscience and biotech) into deployable cloud services, showing a rare comfort across science, ML and ops.
