Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolKarsten Reincke is a veteran software developer and educator with over 35 years of hands-on development experience and a deep specialty in open source compliance and program management. After leading open source strategy, compliance tooling and the internal Open Source Committee at Deutsche Telekom for more than a decade, he now teaches Fachinformatik at vocational schools in Germany, translating enterprise practice into classroom-ready skills. He combines project leadership across large telecom IT systems with technical work spanning Unix/Linux, databases and linguistic/AI-oriented research from his university studies. Passionate about open source even as a pensioner, Karsten has a rare blend of institutional governance experience and long-term practitioner instincts that help teams use OSS both innovatively and compliantly. Colleagues value his pragmatic problem-solving—whether orchestrating complex OpenStack stacks with AI knowledge representation or building compliance advisors and license compendia.
