Katja Sirazitdinova is a Senior Developer Advocate and deep learning engineer with a PhD in Medical Informatics and six years of industry experience translating computer vision research into production AI solutions. Her background spans image-based 3D reconstruction and medical imaging research to five years at NVIDIA where she helped customers optimize and deploy models across data center GPUs and edge devices. She excels at turning complex AI concepts into actionable guidance for developers, with hands-on expertise in PyTorch, CUDA, and end-to-end deployment pipelines. Prior roles in clinical and academic settings give her a rare combination of rigorous research instincts and product-focused engineering, including building interactive prototypes for medical imaging workflows. Based in Dubai, she is particularly skilled at bridging the gap between cutting-edge generative and vision models and real-world applications in healthcare and enterprise.

A project demonstrating how to train your own gesture recognition deep learning pipeline. We start with a pre-trained detection model, repurpose it for hand detection using Transfer Learning Toolkit 3.0, and use it together with the purpose-built gesture recognition model. Once trained, we deploy this model on NVIDIA® Jetson™ using Deepstream SDK.
