Top SchoolKaylyn Gibilterra is a Staff Software Engineer with 11 years of experience designing and operating high-scale distributed systems, specializing in Go, event sourcing, and platform resiliency for regulated industries. She led the architecture and launch of a core event sourcing platform at Capital One that handles 5 Gbps and 60 million updates a day, and she trains and mentors senior engineers to become technical leaders across organizations of 70+ engineers. Equally comfortable hands-on and at the strategy level, she runs incident response and designs zero-downtime deployment and multi-tenant data separation for legacy-mainframe integrations. A founder of a programmatic 3D-printing business, she applies algorithmic thinking to physical products—holding a patent-pending constellation-generation algorithm and operating a multi-printer fabric for consumer and community outreach. Based in New York, she blends deep systems engineering with teaching and evangelism, quickly bringing teams up to idiomatic Go and production best practices.
