Top SchoolKees Van Reeuwijk is a seasoned programmer with 29 years of experience in high-performance computing, compilers, and systems programming, currently working at the University of Amsterdam. He blends deep hands-on expertise in C/C++, Java, and Python with practical GPU, grid and cloud computing skills, and a niche specialty in floating-point computation and compiler construction from his time at Altium. His career spans academic research and industry, including EU cloud projects (Contrail) where he helped design federated virtual infrastructure networking, and extensive supervision of Master's students. A PhD-trained electronics researcher who enjoys MOOCs, he pairs rigorous scientific thinking with pragmatic software engineering and long-term maintenance experience. An often-overlooked strength is his ability to translate low-level numerical correctness concerns into robust test suites and production-quality implementations.
