Top SchoolKerrick Long is a staff software engineer and pragmatic systems thinker with 17 years of experience and deep expertise in B2B/enterprise SaaS front-end architecture and delivery. He blends hands-on engineering in JavaScript/TypeScript, modern frameworks, and Rails with DevOps, TDD, and AI-assisted development to ship reliable, high-velocity product features. As a former director who scaled teams through coaching, process redesign, and hiring, he has repeatedly increased velocity, reduced defects, and driven acquisition outcomes. At Over the Top Marketing he not only owned the Angular front end and improved software supply chain security but also co-founded an executive AI task force to safely operationalize LLMs. He’s known for teaching cross-functional teams, building extensible plugin systems and SDKs, and turning messy requirements into measurable business impact. Based in Buffalo, Missouri, he pairs practical engineering craft with a knack for mentorship and continuous improvement.
