Top SchoolKerry Xu is an industrial designer and software tutor based in New York with a decade of multidisciplinary experience blending design practice and technical visualization. Currently pursuing an MFA at Parsons after earning a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Kerry teaches and troubleshoots tools like Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma to design students. Their background in product design internships and arts administration informs a systems-level approach to solving design challenges, from concept generation to exhibition installation. Open to full-time roles in industrial design, Kerry pairs studio craft with digital fluency and a knack for translating complex course content into hands-on learning. Although new to public coding work (self-described “Rookie” on GitHub), they leverage software skills to elevate prototyping and presentation workflows. Colleagues note an ability to bridge creative direction and technical execution, making them effective in cross-disciplinary teams.
