Top SchoolKevin Bourque is a Team Leader at Natural Resources Canada with 13 years of experience at the intersection of clean energy engineering and software, currently focused on advancing RETScreen for clean energy project analysis. He combines hands-on technical work—designing wind farms, developing databases to analyze technology costs, and building energy efficiency archetypes—with public-facing education, having lectured at the UN, universities and major corporations. Kevin brings a practical engineering background (McGill B.Eng.) and additional business and geomatics training from the University of Calgary, enabling him to translate complex technical data into actionable policy and project guidance. He’s passionate about leveraging software to make clean energy more accessible and cost-effective, and he regularly authors and edits technical textbooks to raise industry capability. Based in Beamsville, Ontario, he takes pride in serving Canadians through the public service while helping international stakeholders adopt evidence-based energy solutions. A less obvious strength is his knack for marrying rigorous analysis with clear teaching, so stakeholders with varied technical backgrounds can implement cleaner-energy projects confidently.
