Senior🎓
Top SchoolKevin Silmore is a multidisciplinary engineer and PhD candidate in Chemical Engineering and Computation who blends deep theoretical research with production-grade autonomy software. With 11 years of experience spanning MIT research on soft matter and GPU-accelerated simulation methods to leading perception and autonomy efforts at Anduril, he translates advanced math and physics into robust, deployable systems. He architects core robotics frameworks, develops novel data-visualization tooling for debugging autonomous behavior, and has driven AI-driven ocean current prediction for unmanned submarines. Skilled in C++, CUDA, Julia, Python and Nix, he pairs strong computational fluency with award-winning teaching and publication record (including a Soft Matter cover). Not obvious from his title: he’s equally at home deriving physical theories and shipping field-ready autonomy libraries used across an engineering organization.
