Top SchoolKevin Turkington is a Senior Software Engineer based in Seattle with 10 years of experience building backend systems in Go and C#, specializing in analytics, ETL pipelines, and high-throughput services. He has delivered production features across startups and large brands—designing ad tracking and microsite architectures at Bitly, building analytics and payments integrations at CYBERA, and slashing ETL cost and DB latency at Compass. Comfortable across the stack, he pairs strong SQL and systems design with hands-on implementation of rollout strategies, webhooks, and search indexes. He mentors peers, improves developer workflows, and has a proven knack for pragmatic performance wins (for example, reducing ETL runtime costs ~75% and cutting transfer downtime from hours to milliseconds). An Oregon State alum and Golang enthusiast, he brings a mix of operational discipline and product-focused engineering to complex backend challenges.
