Summary
Kim Jubok is a veteran game director and interdisciplinary strategist with over two decades of experience shaping MMO, mobile, and metaverse projects across Nexon, NCSOFT, and now LINE Games. He blends narrative design, technical architecture, and team leadership to create player-first experiences, currently directing Ember and Blade, a roguelite action title on Steam. Known for technical ingenuity, he built the original cartoon rendering system in Mabinogi without shaders and developed real-time animation and dynamic camera systems for responsive combat in Mabinogi 2: Arena. At NCSOFT he led early-stage metaverse platform development, gaining practical insight into UGC ecosystems, cold-start dynamics, and platform seeding strategies. More recently he focuses on enabling collective creativity—cultivating interdisciplinary teams that co-create at scale. Based in Seoul with a CS degree from KAIST, he pairs deep engineering chops with a strategist’s instinct for what to build and why.
