Top SchoolKim Martin is a Co-Founder and third-year PhD candidate in Library and Information Science at Western University, combining a decade of experience in research, teaching, and community-focused maker education. She co-leads the SSHRC-funded Digging Digital Humanities project, coordinating international site visits to study how humanist scholars use ebooks, the role of librarians in DH, and serendipity in research. Outside academia she runs a mobile makerspace delivering maker education and pop-up experiences for schools, libraries, and community centres across Ontario, translating interdisciplinary scholarship into hands-on public engagement. With academic foundations in English, History, and Renaissance Studies, she brings a humanities-informed perspective to information work and a practical knack for building partnerships between researchers, libraries, and communities.
