Summary
🤩
RockstarKinuko Yasuda is a Principal Software Engineer with 16+ years building high-performance, large-scale systems at Google, where she now leads C++ migration tooling, memory safety, compiler/LLVM work and static/dynamic analysis for AI-connected applications. Previously a long-time Chrome networking and loading lead and an early YouTube engineer who built playlist search, she has deep expertise in multi-core optimization and systems-level engineering. Her background includes executive engineering leadership and a stint as General Manager at Fixstars, plus academic credentials (MA/PhD) from Keio University in Media and Governance. Kinuko is also a published author on performance topics and an active advocate for diversity, inclusion and STEAM education for girls and non-binary students, regularly speaking at industry events. A less obvious strength is her blend of compiler-level tooling and real-world product ownership, enabling practical advances in safety and performance for production-scale software.
