Top SchoolKiran Gangadharan is a senior software engineer and partner at an employee-owned cooperative with 13 years of experience building reliable, scalable systems across logistics, pricing, cloud communications, marketing analytics, and live streaming. He specializes in modernizing legacy platforms and designing event-driven architectures, Kafka schema governance, and real-time processing that improve operational reliability and reduce latency. Kiran has repeatedly bridged ambiguous requirements to production impact—migrating high-throughput Ruby OMSs to Kotlin services, rolling out price-guardrails used across millions of rides, and cutting live-streaming delays with fault-recovery for synchronized interactivity. He combines hands-on implementation (React, TypeScript, Clojure, Kotlin) with team enablement—authoring deployment guides, ADRs, and mentoring engineers to increase ownership. Based in Bengaluru, he balances pragmatic engineering with experimentation, having evaluated Clojure and Elixir via prototypes to inform architecture choices. Outside work he’s a dad, coffee enthusiast, and shares technical talks and code on his website and GitHub.
