Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolKirk Gleason is a seasoned IT and security leader with over two decades of experience building and operating enterprise systems, currently serving as VP of Information Systems & Security at Bloom Insurance Agency. He oversees everything from endpoint devices to cloud and physical servers, leads security operations and compliance efforts such as SOC 2 Type 2, and has modernized VPN infrastructure to WireGuard while instituting third-party risk management and encryption practices. Hands-on across networking, Linux/Unix platforms, databases and SaaS delivery, he pairs strategic planning with day-to-day troubleshooting and cross-functional partnership. Based in the Greater Bloomington area, he has progressed from systems engineering and IT management roles into senior leadership, preserving technical depth while scaling teams and processes. Off the clock he’s a husband and father who brings a candid, no-nonsense style to high-pressure problems — a practical leader who’s run out of patience for bureaucracy but not for solving hard technical challenges.
