Top SchoolKirsten Bender is an entrepreneurial business owner with 12 years of experience building and scaling a regional specialty food brand, The Popcorner, which she launched with her father in 2014. She expanded to a second brick-and-mortar location in 2016 and innovated with a converted popcorn trolley in 2020 to reach events and pop-up markets. Skilled in product development, retail operations, and customer experience, she produces over 15 gourmet popcorn flavors plus fudge and nostalgic treats. Her background in retail management with Toys R Us and sales roles laid the operational and people-management foundation that supports her day-to-day running of multiple locations. Now preparing to franchise The Popcorner in 2024, she blends hands-on hospitality with strategic growth planning. Based in Wichita, Kansas, Kirsten combines hometown roots with a flair for creative, experiential retailing that turns an old trolley into a mobile brand platform.
