Top SchoolKlaus Hougesen is a Nordic tech leader and founder with over two decades of deep‑tech experience and 11 years of focused engineering leadership, currently driving large‑scale platform and architecture work at IKEA and North Propulsion while mentoring startups at DTU Skylab. He scales high‑performing engineering and product teams, translates complex domains like AI, energy grids and med‑tech into resilient roadmaps, and has repeatedly turned strategic vision into shipped, auditable systems (from petabyte migrations to mission‑critical Class 2a medical frontends). A hands‑on principal frontend/system architect, he has built high‑concurrency infrastructure, design systems and FDA‑compliant frontends, and removed multi‑million dollar vendor risk by delivering in‑house alternatives. Klaus blends creative product instincts from his design and founder background with investor/advisor experience, making him equally comfortable in boardrooms and code reviews. He’s open to CTO/CPO, Head of X, advisory or VC partner roles with a soft spot for climate, devx, dual‑use and med‑tech, and quietly pairs entrepreneurial curiosity with repeatable change‑management playbooks.
