Kohei
Software Engineer at parsable
British Columbia, Canada
Summary
👤
SeniorKohei Asai is a Staff Software Engineer based in Vancouver with 11 years of experience specializing in front-end engineering and React. He has led teams and architected TypeScript and GraphQL-driven frontends from scratch, driving adoption of modern practices and deliverable-focused design at startups and enterprise clients. At Parsable he scaled mobile-first connected worker experiences used by major industrial customers, and now continues to shape developer and product direction as a staff engineer. Known as a “clean coder” who treats UI as a deterministic function of state, he blends hands-on implementation with mentoring and pragmatic architecture decisions. A former engineering advisor and teacher, he brings both deep component-level craft and a knack for translating monoliths into maintainable single-page applications.
