Top SchoolKonrad Kording is a computational neuroscientist and machine learning leader with over a decade of experience bridging deep learning, data analysis, and neurotechnology in biomedical research. As Co-Director of CIFAR’s Learning in Machines and Brains and an endowed professor at the University of Pennsylvania, he focuses on big-picture questions and develops new algorithms when existing tools fall short. He co-founded Neuromatch Academy to democratize computational neuroscience education and runs an extremely collaborative lab known for practical consulting on ML applications in biomedicine. Trained in physics at ETH Zürich and shaped by postdoctoral work at MIT, he combines rigorous theoretical thinking with hands-on data problem solving—and, not obvious from titles alone, a genuine enthusiasm for wrangling messy datasets.
