Konstantin Stadler is a multidisciplinary researcher and manager with 12+ years’ experience building digital infrastructure for industrial ecology and sustainability analytics. As Manager and Lead Researcher of the Industrial Ecology Digital Laboratory at NTNU and a board member of XIO Sustainability Analytics, he leads efforts to maintain and extend the EXIOBASE multiregional input–output database and develop open-source tools for environmentally extended MRIO analysis. His work bridges rigorous data compilation, spend-based emission factors and supply-chain scope 3 analysis to enable policy-relevant consumption-based accounting. Trained originally in microelectronics and later earning a PhD in Neuroscience, he brings uncommon quantitative and experimental rigor to environmental systems modelling. He has steered MRIO projects across multiple EU FP7 programs and translates complex datasets into practical, customizable solutions for researchers and industry. Based in Trondheim, he combines academic depth with entrepreneurial impact through a spin-off that preserves and advances critical sustainability data infrastructure.
