Senior🎓
Top SchoolKris Gellci is a Staff Software Engineer based in San Francisco with 11 years of experience building consumer mobile products and founding AI-enabled startups. He has a strong iOS pedigree from roles at Quicken Loans, Glassdoor, and Lyft where he progressed from hands-on mobile engineering to engineering management and staff-level technical leadership. As co-founder and CEO/CTO of multiple startups including Strings—a messaging app that embeds large language models for cross-language communication—he blends product instincts with applied ML and real-world deployment experience. Currently at Meta, he brings startup grit to large-scale engineering challenges, shipping features that bridge user experience and complex backend systems. Notably, he repeatedly returns to founder/operator roles, signaling a rare combination of ship-it mentality and long-term technical strategy. Based in the Bay Area, he pairs deep mobile engineering craft with a curiosity for language models and productivity tooling.
