Senior🎓
Top SchoolKris Pritchard is a seasoned software engineer and consultant based in Auckland with over a decade of experience designing, building, and securing production systems across startups, academia, and enterprise. He blends hands-on development and architecture—ranging from early internet services and wireless data at Spark NZ to blockchain prototypes for Visa/EY and tournament platforms for esports—with practical security expertise gained through research on Android defenses and malware analysis. As a lecturer and AWS re/Start coordinator, he has translated industry practice into curriculum for cloud, cybersecurity, and full-stack development, and helped launch national training initiatives. Kris also founded an AI fitness startup and led diverse consulting engagements (from crowdfunding platforms to logistics routing), showing an entrepreneurial bent and product-focused delivery. Notably, his background includes low-level system work (system call interception on Android) and real-world fintech and crypto prototypes, signaling a rare mix of systems, security, and applied product engineering.
