Top SchoolKristian Shafer is an Associate Business System Analyst with three years of hands-on experience driving cloud data migrations and operational improvements. At Optum he helped migrate billions of rows from SSMS to Snowflake and implemented containerized, automated pipelines using Docker, Kubernetes, and Dagster to support actuarial and financial analytics. He combines data engineering skills—importing, cleaning, modeling, and visualizing data—with a strong focus on data quality and efficiency gains. A finance graduate who began his career in accounting and retail operations, he brings uncommon domain fluency in both financial processes and technical systems. Outside of work he sharpens his problem-solving through Unity game development and personal projects, demonstrating a builder’s mindset and appetite for new technical challenges. Based in Nashville, he’s actively seeking opportunities to apply cloud-native pipelines and analytics to high-impact business problems.
