He progressed from software developer roles into senior engineering at Bazaarvoice, bringing a track record of shipping reliable systems across web backends and device prototypes. Early co-op work with the City of Edmonton saw him design, prototype, and deploy LoRa-based IoT devices—improving pedestrian counting accuracy to near 99% and dramatically increasing message throughput—work that earned him a UVic Co-op Student of the Year award. He also has hands-on experience modernizing government applications, migrating SharePoint workflows to cost-saving alternatives, and contributing to Angular and Node.js projects in public service.
