Top SchoolKyle Gerard is a software engineer with 8 years of experience specializing in machine learning, computer vision, and cloud-scalable systems, now working on Gemini personalization quality at Google DeepMind. He combines research-grade expertise from EPFL and internships (including work that contributed to a ClearSpace mission and a published cancer-detection paper/patent) with product-focused engineering at Google and as a co-founder who scaled a location-based game to 80,000+ downloads and real-world impact (5,000 trees planted). Comfortable moving models from lab to production, he has built multi-scale deep learning pipelines, real-time 6D pose trackers for space scenarios, and horizontally scalable cloud architectures processing mapping data. Colleagues know him for bridging rigorous academic methods with pragmatic, production-ready solutions and for tackling hard sensing problems under constrained compute and lighting conditions.
