Senior🎓
Top SchoolLake Chang is a seasoned Senior Backend Developer with 17 years of experience building full-product web applications, primarily in Rails, and a strong familiarity with React/Next on the frontend. Based in Taipei, he has led backend work across SaaS and e-commerce products, improving performance, introducing maintainable patterns, and designing large-scale migrations (including async migrations and Redis-to-Mongo session moves) to reduce cost and complexity. He consistently drives productivity improvements by building internal tools, aligning dev/staging/production schemas, and proactively communicating assumptions and solutions during reviews. A lifelong builder who started in 2008, he still ships side projects—most recently for Japan Line marketing—bringing a product-minded perspective to engineering decisions. Practical, hands-on, and remote-work savvy, Lake blends deep Rails expertise with pragmatic system design and a knack for making legacy systems more maintainable.
