Summary
👤
SeniorLarry Miami is a product-focused software engineer with eight years of experience and over five years building user-centered health tech solutions in Nairobi. At Access Afya he has driven measurable impact—designing WhatsApp-based OTPs, appointment reminders, lab results and prescription delivery that lifted attendance by 80% and patient satisfaction by 60%. He blends frontend product craftsmanship (including mini-programs on M-Pesa and social auth) with backend automation for health data ingestion to inform product decisions. Larry has a knack for accessibility and inclusion, having delivered features for patients with disabilities and low-connectivity communities via a Community Health Workers app. He pairs pragmatic engineering practices—style guides, linting and workflows—with close collaboration across product, design and partners to move initiatives from prototype to measurable outcomes. Outside work he jokes that he “speaks JavaScript” and brings a grounded, user-first curiosity to complex healthcare challenges.
