Senior🎓
Top SchoolLaurence Denneulin is an astrophysics researcher and associate professor in Lyon with nine years of experience specializing in high-contrast polarimetric image reconstruction for circumstellar disks using ESO/VLT-SPHERE IRDIS data. She holds a PhD in Astrophysics and a strong applied-maths background (M2 in image processing), which she leverages to design and implement advanced reconstruction and optimization algorithms. Her career blends academic research and teaching—postdoctoral roles and a current enseignante-chercheuse position at EPITA—bridging theoretical methods with hands-on instrument data. Notably, she has translated mathematical insights from dictionary learning and alternating optimization into practical pipelines for direct imaging of young stellar environments.
