Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolLeon Long is a software engineer with nine years of experience building practical, user-focused systems across startups and large tech companies, currently at Stripe after four impactful years at Tesla. He has deep full-stack expertise—shipping backend services, GraphQL tooling, CI/CD and DevOps automation—and a track record of reducing complexity (e.g., a GraphQL query deduplication library that cut query size by over 70%). Comfortable moving between product-facing mobile work and large-scale infrastructure, he blends rapid prototyping skills learned at startups with production-hardened engineering from enterprise environments. Based in Seattle and a University of Washington Informatics graduate, Leon is driven by building technologies that tangibly help people and often prefers elegant, cache- and latency-aware solutions.
