Senior🎓
Top SchoolLidia Bressan is a numerical modeler with 11 years’ experience applying physics and data analysis to Earth-system problems, currently modelling environmental processes at Arpae Emilia-Romagna. She combines a strong academic background—a PhD in Geophysics and a master’s in Physics from the University of Bologna—with hands-on hydraulic laboratory experience (flume) and applied work on air quality and marine hazards. Her career bridges research and operational practice, delivering models used for regional monitoring and risk assessment. Based in Bologna, she is fluent in translating complex physical theory into practical forecasting tools and actionable insights for environmental agencies. An uncommon strength is her blend of lab-scale experimentation and large-scale numerical modelling, enabling robust validation of model results.
