Lorenzino Vaccari is an Information Technology expert and computer scientist with over 30 years’ experience spanning industrial robotics, spatial data infrastructures and digital government. He has driven open data, API and interoperability initiatives across European institutions, notably leading research and architecture work at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre and now supporting digital government at EUIPO. His interdisciplinary expertise covers AI, semantics, multi-agent systems, blockchain and IoT, with a decade-long focus on translating research into public-sector innovation and policy implementation. Lorenzino combines hands-on systems design (from real-time industrial control to SDI and open-data platforms) with program leadership, and he convenes cross-sector dialogue to bridge private-sector maturity and public-sector openness. Based in Alicante, he is particularly noted for operationalising APIs for public administrations and for building practical linkages between academic research and deployable digital services.
