Senior🎓
Top SchoolLucian Sturião is a software engineer with 10 years’ experience designing high-throughput distributed systems and backend platforms, currently building at Meta in London. He has a strong track record of cost- and latency-driven optimizations—at VTEX he cut S3 costs by 99% and reduced DB and messaging costs significantly while scaling services to millions of requests per minute. Comfortable across .NET, Java, and cloud-native architectures, he has led migrations to .NET Core, introduced CI/CD practices, and architected lateral scaling strategies to overcome platform limits. He pairs hands-on implementation with team enablement, running backend engineering forums and mentoring junior engineers as a tech lead. Lucian’s academic background includes a cum laude BSc in Computer Science and partial graduate work in AI, reflecting a blend of rigorous theory and practical systems engineering. Beyond obvious metrics, he repeatedly delivers pragmatic templates and libraries that accelerate time-to-production across organizations.
