Top SchoolLukas Retschmeier is a PhD fellow at the Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen, researching differential privacy with a focus on releasing useful synthetic datasets without compromising individual privacy. He brings nine years of industry and academic experience, combining hands-on software engineering—Java/Spring, AngularJS, Docker—with applied consultancy in PLM systems like Siemens Teamcenter across manufacturing and automotive projects. Trained in a dual study program in Mannheim and honored as his cohort’s top bachelor, he has a track record of translating complex domain requirements into deployed solutions. Supervised by Prof. Rasmus Pagh, Lukas blends rigorous theoretical work with practical implementation skills and a pragmatic view of privacy-preserving data release. Based in Copenhagen, he leverages his consulting background to keep research grounded in real-world systems and constraints.
