Top SchoolM. Fain is a software engineer, product leader, and communications strategist with a decade of experience building decentralised social tools and feminist media platforms. As Co-founder and CPO of Soapbox Technology she led product development of Ditto, a cross-platform federation tool that bridges Nostr, ActivityPub and other protocols to advance censorship-resistant social networking. She also founded Spinster, the largest feminist instance in the Fediverse, and has a track record of launching open-source community projects that defend free expression under authoritarian pressure. Equally at home writing thought leadership and shaping media strategy for impact litigation, she blends technical fluency with advocacy—often working at the intersection of open-source software, digital sovereignty, and feminist activism. Based in Houston, she brings startup grit, content craft, and a consistent focus on ethical, community-driven tech.
